I think most of you have noticed that I don't upload here anymore. I don't want to say I never will again, but for whatever reason I just don't have much drive to use deviantArt the way I used to. Maybe I'll pick it back up eventually, but I honestly don't know. That being said, if you want to stay up-to-date with JL8 (or my artwork, period), you're going to need to follow me at any of the following spots:

JL8:

Facebook: Facebook.com/jl8comiclol
Tumblr: jl8comic.tumblr.com

Personal:

Facebook: Facebook.com/yalestewartart
Tumblr: yalestewart.tumblr.com
Twitter: YaleStewart

I've got Marvel stuff coming, some kids' books in the works, and possible work with Dark Horse. If you want to be made aware of that stuff, your best bet is to follow any of the above links.

Alright, everyone! It's a little less than two weeks until Boston Comic-Con, so that means I'm opening up my commission list. All pieces will be 9"x12", fully pencilled and inked. The rates are as follows:

$50 Bust
$100 Full-figure

I'll be taking half upfront via PayPal, with the remainder being paid at the show upon pick-up. If you're interested, please send me a private note here on deviantArt. Thanks!

Please keep in mind these are ONLY AVAILABLE to people who will be attending the convention! Also, I will be taking commissions AT the show (for the same rates), but I don't know how many I'll be able to take due to business. If you really want to make sure you get one, this is the best way to make sure you get it.

Just so we're all on the same page, everyone knows that JL8 updates later here on deviantArt than it does everywhere else, right? JL8 updates first on Facebook and Tumblr, then posts here on dA maybe 2-3 days later. Just wanted to put that out there.

Hey everybody! Some of you already are aware of this, but I do in fact have a creator-owned comic, titled "Gifted." The first issue is available over at Gumroad for the awesome price of pay-whatever-you-want! I'm needing to buy a new car here soon, so I wanted to draw attention to the comic as the funds could prove really helpful to me. Please go check it out, and maybe pick it up!

You can find it here: gum.co/giftedlol

Most of you have probably seen my Boston Memorial piece that I've made to raise money for charity in the aftermath of the bombings. I wanted to apologize for the fact that I've gotten a little snappy with people on more than one occasion. This is the internet. People are going to say stupid things (sometimes not the way they intended). I should know better than to engage. If any of you guys have seen the comments--and they are still there--I apologize for my behavior.

I now have an online shop where you can buy prints, original artwork, and maybe some merch! There's only one print in stock right now, but that should change soon. Swing by and give it a look!

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to let everybody know that I'll be tabling at New York Comic-Con, Oct. 11-14. You'll be able to find me at Table E7 in Artist's Alley. I'll have prints, buttons, original art, and copies of "Gifted" for sale. I'm not sure if I'll be taking commissions yet, though. I'll figure that out once the show gets going. I won't be set up until later Thursday evening, since my flight doesn't get into NYC until 4:30pm or so, but I'll definitely head straight to the Javitz once I get checked into my hotel!

Hope to see some of you there!

Does anyone have the limited edition copies of "Take Off Your Pants and Jacket" they'd be willing to sell? Any one is fine, but I'm trying to get all three.

If you're not sure, the limited copies disc art was entirely one of the "TOYPAJ" emblems. The disc was either the Pants, the Jacket, or the Plane.

Some of you may be wondering why the newest strip is titled "JL8 #67."

The title "Little League" actually infringes on existing trademark, and I've been asked to re-title the strip, which I'm doing. It is now going to be titled "JL8." That being said, I have until Aug. 31st to also change the name of the Facebook and Tumblr pages. Fortunately, Tumblr allows a pretty easy switch, but I'll also have to change the URL. This is important because I know a lot of my readers have the current page bookmarked. On Sept. 1, that bookmark will no longer work, as the original page won't exist. If you'd all be so kind as to bookmark the URL:

jl8comic.tumblr.com

That will be where the site is hosted beginning Sept. 1. I plan on reminding everyone with each update leading up to that date, but I recommend just bookmarking it now. There's nothing there yet, but next Thursday this page will pop up there.

As for the Facebook page, I've begun transitioning fans away from the current "Little League" page to the new "JL8" page, which can be found here:

www.facebook.com/jl8comic

If you could head over there and give it a "Like," it would be very much appreciated.

Anyway, thanks so much for reading.

See you on the other side!

Little League is not a direct transposition of DC continuity. J'onn's parents are alive. Diana was not made from mud. Bruce is Batman at 7 years old. Karen and Clark are not cousins.

So, it looks like I've got a lot of new watchers thanks to :iconsilentreaper: and I just wanted to let you all know how glad I am that you've made it!

First things first, I'm pretty sure most of you are here because of Little League. While I'm thrilled, I just wanted to let everyone know that (with the exception of this evening) my deviantArt page posts Little League strips the day after they go up on the Little League Tumblr (littleleaguecomic.tumblr.com), so if you want to get Little League strips fresh out of the oven, be sure to follow the Tumblr! It's where Little League started, and where it has the strongest fan-base, and growing that number (I think) will be a good source of leverage for when I pitch Little League to DC Comics. So yeah, give the Tumblr a follow. I'd really appreciate it.

Also, there's the Little League Facebook page (www.facebook.com/littleleaguel…)! There you'll find some in-depth content, and also an easier way to interact with me personally!

Anyway, I'm glad you guys enjoy my stuff! There's plenty yet to come!

Hey, everyone.

I'm sure most of you have heard by now of the travesty that has befallen one Mike Meyers of Granite City, IL. If you haven't, let me give you the short version (or you can read the article here). Mike is a longtime Superman fan who had amassed a large collections of comics, toys, and various other memorabilia pertaining to the character over many years. Recently, a good portion of this collection was robbed from him by an acquaintance who posed as a friend so as to get access to his collection. To make matters worse, Mike is also mentally handicapped. Not only did this guy steal from someone, he stole from a handicapped person. I could rant all day about that, but I won't. I'm going to get down to the brass tacks (you heard me).

Tons of people are already chipping in to piece this guy's collection back together, and that's awesome. It is. But I'd like to do something particularly special (since I'm from St. Louis, and this guy might as well be my neighbor). I'm headed to New York Comic-Con in October, and I'll be armed with a themed sketchbook. It's my hope to take this thing around the 'Con, finding all the notable pros, and asking for sketches of Superman dedicated to Mike. When I return home to St. Louis, I'll then personally (at least, I'd like to do it personally. I know that one of Mike's friends has been handling all donations, so I might have to do it through him) deliver it to Mike. Basically, it's one hell of a glorified "Get Well" card.

Why am I writing this post, you ask? Well, that's a good question. It's my hope that we can retweet, reblog, retumbl or whatever this mission of mine so I can maybe get some of these awesome creators to expect me and be eager to participate. There are long lines at these conventions, and truthfully, my trip there is first and foremost a business endeavor (I'm trying to be a comic artist, too, after all), so any way to make this task a little easier is all the better.

So that's the deal. I'll be attending NYCC with a sketchbook waiting to be filled by any and every artist that wants to contribute a Superman piece. I hate to even say it, but this is absolutely not a scam. I will not break apart the sketchbook to try and sell it or keep it for myself. I know that may be a cause of concern for some people. And I'm also not asking for lavish illustrations. Quick profiles, little doodles, whatever. Just so long as it's Superman.

Please pass along this info, and I'll see you in the Big Apple!

Thanks so much,
