Aside from being cute... REally cute, I can see the message behind this. Joker only sees Harley as his ace in the hole if he just needs assistance. Harley of course... you know, I'll just let her thoughts speak for her.
I just read Mad Love and it was pretty good, but I honestly think your artwork connects with me a lot more than Bruce Timm's does. I mean, I love Batman: TAS, but your JL8 series is so clever and wonderful. It reminds me very much of Peanuts because the young, naive children are actually very intelligent and interpret the world in their own special way, which is what you do with your strips, Yale.
I have two questions for you - 1: How do you get your lines so smooth when you scan them? and 2: Are you still accepting commissions?
My favorite pairing! I love seeing you tackle this couple. Funny story that you might enjoy:
My friend and I share a love of Joker/Harley Quinn and also a love of your comic strips. They're uber cute. We were super excited to see the Joker featured as one of the schoolyard bullies but we were both confused as well. "Why does he not look like the Joker?" we wondered. "Yeah, she just has him in a red hoo....OH! I see what she did there." lol We actually had to say 'red hood' out loud before it clicked. How sad is that?
